Shoreline Residence
The project included a residential interior renovation and deck addition in Shoreline, a suburb just north of Seattle. The main goal of this project was to open existing spaces, creating a visual and physical extension from the living room through the dining room to the new exterior deck and beyond. In the process, the main entry was reconfigured to emphasize fluidity to the existing corridor and living room. The physical barriers between the kitchen and the dining area were also removed, expanding the overall presence of the open space.
The fireplace rests in the center of the space as the focus of the residence.
The addition of the new custom deck extends the program of the living space into the backyard. It was designed with seating and built-in storage.
New finishes were added throughout the interior spaces, including flooring, lighting, cabinets, tiles, paint and kitchen appliances. The main fireplace was sandblasted to reveal its original brick finish.
